A short film about highhopes.

Walking Home – follows Riley on herwalk home.

WH01 FS.

Riley walks home along a sidewalk.

WH02 CS.

Riley turns as she notices something to her left.

WH03 Low MS.

There is a flock of crows on a lawn.

WH04 FS.

Riley runs (away from camera) through the birds with herarms outstretched like wings. The birds fly away as Riley spins happily.

WH04 MS.

Riley smiles and watches the birds fly off. She begins towalk away and notices a cardboard box sitting out by a trashcan.

WH06 MFS.

She gets an idea and grabs the box. She turns and the scenecross-dissolves into her bedroom.

Making Wings - Riley makes cardboard wings in her bedroom.

MW01 MFS.

Riley carries box into her bedroom.

MW02 ECS.

Riley drops the box onto the floor of her room.

MW03 FS.

She sits down next to the cardboard box and starts working.Cross-dissolve into nighttime.

Bed Time – Riley has finished herwings.

BT01 MFS.

Riley is working to the light of her nightlight.

BT02 MS.

Pan up as she stands, holding her wings in the air proudly.tShe puts her wings on her back and spins around.

BT03 FS.

Riley runs up to her dresser and climbs to the top of it.

BT04 MFS.

Riley stands proudly on top of her dresser, armsoutstretched, before jumping off.

BT05 LeftTracking FS.

Riley runs (R-L) to her bed, arms outstretched, and divesonto it.

BT06 CS.

Riley curls up with her pillow, closes her eyes, and smilesas the scene fades to black.

Morning Sequence – We follow Rileyafter she wakes up. Camera doesn’t show her upper body or wings.

MS01 Low CS arm/legs/bed.

Riley wakes up and swings her legs over the side of the bed.She stands up and walks away towards camera, and feathers fall behind her ontothe ground.

MS02 Low MS, Tracking L-R.

Riley walks into the bathroom.

MS03 CS.

She reaches for her toothbrush.

MS04 ECU face.

Riley groggily yawns before her eyes widen in shock.

MS05 ECU sink.

Her toothbrush clatters into the sink (as she runs out ofthe room).

MS06 Tilt up.

Camera tilts through attic up to the roof.

Flight Attempt – Riley decides totry out her wings.

FA01 ECU.

Riley’s head pops up and fills frame. She closes her eyesand smiles as the breeze blows round her.

FA02 MCS.

Riley’s feet stand next to the chimney on the roof.

FA03 Low FC feet/roof, Track L-R.

Riley runs and jumps off the edge. Feathers fall and land onthe roof.

FA04 Right Pan MFS.

Slowly pan (L-R) to see birds flying in the distance.
